Schedule Publish + Lockout
Publish dates allow administrators to control how far in advance non-administrators can view assignments on a specific schedule. The publish date of a schedule determines the last day visible on the schedule for users who do not have View + Assign access to the schedule. These limitations allow administrators to complete future schedule periods without non-administrator review, which can drastically decrease the confusion and questions surrounding incomplete schedules.
Request windows or request lockouts determine the date range which requests can be submitted. Setting a request window or request lockout gives non-administrators the ability to submit work or leave requests without impacting the current schedule, or a schedule that is currently in progress. Attempting to submit a request outside of the set date range – either before the first date in the range or after the last date in the range - will result in an error message, which keeps the request from being successfully submitted.
